With the Penn State spring scrimmage coming up next week, head coach Matt Campbell is continuing to receive some positive news on the recruiting front. On Friday, Penn State picked up a commitment from Class of 2027 offensive lineman Owen Reilly, out of Maryland. Reilly is the first offensive lineman in Penn State’s current Class of 2027.

Reilly announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions with a post on his Instagram account on Friday. Reilly is scouted as an interior offensive lineman and measures 6-3.5 and 290 pounds according to his recruiting profile from 247Sports. Reilly, rated as a three-star recruit, held scholarship offers from a number of power conference programs that included Maryland, Michigan State, Oregon, and Rutgers of the Big Ten. Other notable options for Reilly included Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and West Virginia.
