MSU women’s basketball lands Tabitha Betson via transfer portal

by

After one of their better seasons in recent memory, the Michigan State women’s basketball program is ready to reload for the 2026-27 season, and they landed a key addition via the transfer portal on Friday as former Colorado forward Tabitha Betson announced her decision to commit to the Spartans on social media.

Betson, a 6-foot-2 forward from Melbourne, Australia, played two seasons at Colorado. She averaged 19.3 minutes per game last year for the Buffaloes as a contributor for their NCAA Tournament team. Betson is known for being a shooter, with more than half of her shot attempts coming from beyond the arc. While her 33.9 percent from distance might not pop off the screen, she shot an impressive 83.3 percent from the free-throw line, which indicates she might have another level to reach from three moving forward.
