7-Foot-5 Center to Leave Big Ten Program in Transfer Portal

A big center is set to leave a Big Ten college basketball program.

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, USC center Gabe Dynes, who is 7’5, is planning to enter the transfer portal. He spent one season with USC, averaging 2.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game in 30 appearances and six starts.

Before arriving at USC, he spent two seasons with Youngstown State. His best season with that program came in 2024-25 when he averaged 6.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 blocks in 34 games and seven starts.

For his career, he has recorded 4.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. Dynes has one season of eligibility remaining.
