JOLYN is Swimsuit Partner for Upcoming ‘Baywatch’ Reboot

Celebrated performance swimwear brand JOLYN named category partner for first season of FOX and Fremantle’s new action series Baywatch, set to premiere during the 2026-27 season. As part of the partnership, JOLYN will co-design and produce the lifeguard drama’s iconic red one-piece swimsuits, reimagined through bespoke designs created specifically for the series and its highly anticipated return to television.

With JOLYN’s deep roots in lifeguard culture and Baywatch’s history of celebrating lifeguards’ heroism, strength and athleticism, the partnership is a natural fit. Founded by competitive swimmers, JOLYN’s origin story began on a So Cal lifeguard stand, where the brand first set out to create stylish, functional swimwear for active women. Challenging the male-dominated industry at the time, JOLYN began designing suits built intentionally for women—combining performance, durability, and bold design. Today, JOLYN’s designs are proudly worn by lifeguards on world-famous beaches around the globe, from Los Angeles and Miami to Sydney, Maui, and beyond.

The JOLYN team and Baywatch costume designers worked closely to create three distinct yet quintessential red one-piece swimsuits in JOLYN’s signature high-performance Foreverever® fabric. For the men’s boardshort, JOLYN tapped fellow So Cal-based company Katin, which shares deep roots in the lifeguard community as the original California surf trunk brand. Throughout the design process, the teams drew inspiration from the show’s origins, making updates for a modern Baywatch audience, with each style tailored to the series’ distinctive characters. With JOLYN’s expertise in designing high-performance swimwear, all three designs are sure to stand out in exciting action scenes on screen and in stunts.

Baywatch stars include Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus Lagrone, Noah Beck, and Brooks Nader.

Baywatch production commenced this March on L.A.’s famed Venice Beach and on the historic FOX Studio Lot in Century City. Set to premiere during FOX’s 2026-27 season, the series is produced by Fremantle and FOX Entertainment, and executive produced by McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Dante Di Loreto, Doug Schwartz, Mike Horowitz and Matt Nix, who also serves as showrunner.

First hitting screens in 1989, Baywatch became the most-watched show in the world, airing in over 200 countries, and at its peak, reaching more than a billion viewers every week. The unforgettable original series starred heartthrob David Hasselhoff and helped launch the careers of international superstars from Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra to Jason Momoa and Yasmine Bleeth. The series reboot will celebrate the franchise’s enduring legacy, while re-energizing it for today’s global audience. Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.
