Another pair of brothers is set to play for Oklahoma football.
Three-star edge rusher Samuel Nelson, the younger brother of 2026 Sooners commit Matthew Nelson, committed to OU’s 2027 class on Thursday night.

Nelson, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound recruit, chose the Sooners over Arkansas, Florida State and others.
The Bryant, Arkansas, native is OU’s 21st commitment as part of its third-ranked recruiting class by Rivals.
“God’s timing is my timing and tonight confirmed what I have been feeling,” Nelson wrote on social media. “I’m officially ending my recruitment and will be joining my brother(s) at OU.”
