Auburn football sustained a key recruiting loss Monday, losing a four-star offensive line talent to Ohio State. But the Tigers and new head coach Alex Golesh made up for it Saturday. Four-star wide receiver Brylan Oduor chose Auburn over College Football Playoff teams Ole Miss, Miami and national champion Indiana.

The big 6-foot-3, 205-pound wideout confirmed his decision to Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals. The Murfreesboro, Tenn., native is a four-star per 247Sports composite rankings and is the state of Tennessee’s No. 16 overall prospect.

How did Auburn jump in front of his College Football Recruiting chase? Christian Clemente of 247Sports revealed it started with “A-Day,” which is Auburn’s spring game.

“Wide receivers coach Kodi Burns led the way, though, and was able to land his first commitment in the 2027 cycle to get things going at the position,” Clemente added.

Oduor caught 24 passes for 484 yards and scored eight touchdowns as a junior. Golesh gains a track athlete here too, as Oduor runs the 100-meter in a reported 11.2 seconds plus the 200 at 22.67.

The incoming Auburn leader will love the wheels Oduor possesses. He’s bringing the famed veer-and-shoot offense that turned South Florida into a power in 2025. The offense is known to create explosive one-on-one scenarios for wide receivers.

Golesh is pursuing speed for this first Auburn recruiting class. He landed Myson Johnson-Cook as a prized four-star running back addition. The former Bulls head coach even is taking the upcoming rivalry with Alabama seriously too, by creating an “Iron Bowl” practice during the spring.
