The Oklahoma Sooners have the No. 1 2027 recruiting class, but await a decision from in-state recruit Case Alexander.

No. 1-ranked recruiting class in 2027 isn’t enough for the Oklahoma Sooners. They are still trying to take it even higher, and could with a commitment from elite four-star linebacker Case Alexander. He’s also in-state as his final year of HS football will be played at Washington next season.

But, having that in-state advantage isn’t as big as it usually is. The Sooners have some stiff competition for Alexander, as Penn State seems to be a team that also really, really wants him. And, to be frank, he wants them, too, because who wouldn’t want to play with their older brother? Alexander’s older brother goes to Penn State, and surely he’s done some recruiting of his own. Those are the two schools he will likely decide between.
