Caitlin Clark and Angel Reesewill renew their on-court rivalry on June 4 when the Indiana Fever host the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for their first matchup of the season.
It will also be the first time Reese will face Clark and the Fever following her offseason trade to the Dream.

The Chicago Sky’s decision to trade the two-time All-Star sent shockwaves across the league. For the Dream, the addition of Reese is expected to make a major impact on their status as legitimate contenders for the 2026 season.
As a matter of fact, general managers around the league believe that Reese and the Dream have a shot at going all the way to the WNBA Finals this coming season.

The WNBA published its annual GM survey on Tuesday. The first and most important question asked was about who would win the WNBA Finals this season. According to 40% of the GMs, the Las Vegas Aces will successfully defend their title, while 33% believe that the New York Liberty will go all the way.

The only other team that received votes in this category is the Dream. 27% of general managers in the WNBA believe that Reese and Co. have what it takes to win it all in 2026.
Clark and the Fever received no votes. This is despite Clark now being fully healthy after being limited to just 13 games in 2025 due to multiple soft-tissue injuries.
If the 27% of the GMs who placed their faith in the Dream turn out to be correct, then Reese will reach the WNBA Finals and win a championship before Clark.

Reese led the league in rebounding in her first two seasons. Despite her dominance on the boards, the Sky still struggled significantly. Last season, they finished with a 10-34 record, which is tied for the worst in the league.
Clark, on the other hand, led the Fever to the playoffs in her rookie year. Indiana returned to the postseason in 2025 with Clark sidelined. They pushed the Aces to five games in the semis before bowing out to the eventual champions.
Reese’s situation took a major turn when she joined the Dream, though. From being the best player on a bad team, the 23-year-old now becomes a key piece in a squad seeking a championship.
