Women’s Six Nations: Scotland make seven changes for France

by

Blindside flanker Holland Bogan and outside centre Rachel Phillips make their first Scotland starts as head coach Sione Fukofuka makes seven changes for Saturday’s Six Nations meeting with France in Edinburgh.

Leah Bartlett, Elis Martin, Louise McMillan, Becky Boyd, and Rhona Lloyd return to the XV following a disappointing 41-14 loss to Italy.

Scotland opened with a narrow win in Wales and were crushed at home to defending champions England.

Captain Rachel Malcolm was injured shortly before kick-off in Parma, with fly-half Helen Nelson leading the side again in her absence.

Bartlett and Martin join the front row at loosehead prop and hooker, with lock McMillan winning her 60th cap.

Number eight Boyd makes her first start of this campaign, while winger Lloyd is back following concussion protocols.

Uncapped hooker Aicha Sutcliffe is among the replacements, along with Rhea Clarke, both featuring in their first matchday 23 of the tournament.

France have enjoyed comfortable victories over Italy, Wales and Ireland.
