The Cincinnati Bengals already boast one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses. Now, according to right tackle Amarius Mims, their offensive line may be turning into a weapon of its own.
Speaking this week, Mims made it clear that continuity up front mattered to him this offseason, and not just from a football standpoint. The young tackle admitted he was openly vocal about wanting the Bengals to keep the unit together, calling the offensive line “a big weapon” for what Cincinnati hopes will become another Super Bowl run.

“It was a little bit of me vocalizing who we want back,” Mims said with a grin that perfectly captured the confidence currently surrounding the Bengals’ offense.
That confidence isn’t hard to understand.
With Joe Burrow healthy, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins still among the league’s elite playmakers, and the Bengals investing in protection over the last several seasons, Cincinnati believes it finally has the balance necessary to compete with the AFC’s heavyweights. Keeping continuity along the offensive line became a major organizational priority after injuries and inconsistency repeatedly derailed promising stretches in recent years.

Mims, entering a pivotal season in his development, appears to recognize exactly how important that chemistry can become. Offensive lines rarely dominate overnight, but continuity often turns talented groups into elite ones. The Bengals are betting that keeping familiar pieces together in front of Burrow could elevate the offense from dangerous to nearly unstoppable.
And judging by Mims’ reaction while discussing the group, the Bengals’ locker room may already believe that transformation is underway.
