Michigan State football has extended an offer to an intriguing three-star wide receiver prospect from the Lone Star State.
Maliek Brown of Tyler, Texas announced last week that he’s received an offer from Michigan State football. Brown made the offer from the Spartans known by posting on his personal social media account, stating the offer came from the Spartans following a conversation with wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins.

Brown is listed as a three-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 87 in 247Sports’ system. He ranks as the No. 103 wide receiver and No. 832 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2027 class.
Michigan State joins a long list of schools to show interest in Brown. According to 247Sports, he holds offer from nearly 20 schools, including the likes of Louisiana Tech, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, TCU, Texas Tech, North Texas, UTSA, Texas State, New Mexico and Toledo.
At this time, Louisiana Tech is the lone school with an official visit lined up with Brown. If the Spartans are looking to be true contenders in Brown’s recruitment, I would assume they also add an official visit from him.
