Cornerback Colton, selected in Round 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft No. 37 overall, has signed his rookie contract with the New York Giants.
Hood’s signing leaves first-round picks Arvell Reese (No. 5 overall) and Francis Mauigoa (No. 10) as the Giants’ only unsigned draft picks.

The value of rookie contracts is slotted, according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Hood’s four-year contract is worth $12.95 million, including a $5.878 million signing bonus. Hood’s 2026 salary cap hit will be $2.534 million.
Ex-Giants QB Craig Morton dies
The Giants issued a statement on Monday regarding the passing of Morton, 83, who also played for the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos:
“We are saddened to hear of Craig’s passing. He was a great leader and teammate. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.”
Morton was traded to the Giants by the Cowboys in 1974. He was the Giants’ quarterback through the 1976 season, starting 33 of the 34 games he played for New York. Morton had an 18-year NFL career.
