After removing Panathinaikos in do-or-die game 5 Valencia became the fourth and the final team to reach the EuroLeague Final Four.
Valencia Basket stand on the edge of history. After losing the first two Playoff games at home against Panathinaikos, the Spanish club produced an incredible comeback by winning twice in Athens and forcing a decisive Game 5 (81-64) at the Roig Arena. It is already one of the most dramatic EuroLeague playoff series in recent memory.
For Valencia, this is much more than a playoff game. The club has never reached a EuroLeague Final Four before, and tonight represents the biggest game in its history. Players, coaches and fans all understand the magnitude of the moment. Head coach Pedro Martinez called it “the most important game in the club’s history,” while guard Darius Thompson described it as the biggest match of his career.
Spanish team will join the three clubs already qualified for the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four in Athens: Fenerbahce Beko, Olympiacos B.C. and Real Madrid Baloncesto. The last time two Spanish clubs played in the EuroLeague Final Four was in 2014, when both Real Madrid Baloncesto and FC Barcelona Basquet qualified for the Final Four in Milan.
The 2026 EuroLeague Final Four in Athens will be played from 22–24 May 2026 at the OAKA. The semifinal matchups are: Olympiacos BC vs. Fenerbahce Beko and Real Madrid Baloncesto vs. Valencia. We don’t know who will win but for sure one Spanish team will be in the Finals.
