Daryl Morey reportedly explored multiple trade possibilities around the league before leaving the Philadelphia 76ers, including an attempt to acquire Brandin Podziemski from the Golden State Warriors.
According to Adam Aaronson, Philadelphia showed interest in several young and versatile players, but none of the discussions ultimately resulted in trades.
The Warriors reportedly declined Morey’s effort to land Podziemski, who has become an important part of Golden State’s young core.
“Among other players the source said the Sixers made runs at, unsuccessfully: Naji Marshall of the Dallas Mavericks, Donte DiVincenzo of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Brandon Podziemski of the Golden State Warriors and Ryan Dunn of the Phoenix Suns. None of those players were moved.”
Podziemski has played 3 seasons for the Warriors. He has averaged 11.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 220 regular-season games.
