What time does Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry start on Netflix?

by

The original BMF vs. the reigning King of Violence: That’s how Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry has been billed. Their five-round welterweight fight co-headlines MVP MMA 1 on Saturday, May 16 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.

While never champion, Diaz and Perry were fan favorites during their UFC tenures. And their popularity has remained – even grown – in the post-UFC portion of their careers.

Since leaving the UFC, Diaz has competed in boxing twice, losing to Jake Paul but most recently defeating Jorge Masvidal in July 2024, which was the last time he fought. Diaz hasn’t fought in an MMA fight since his last UFC fight in September 2022, when he dominated and submitted Tony Ferguson.

As for Perry, it’s been even longer since his last MMA fight, which also took place in the UFC, a loss to Daniel Rodriguez in April 2021. Since he UFC departure, Perry has found his footing as a bareknuckle boxer, going 6-0 in BKFC and winning the promotion’s symbolic “King of Violence” title by finishing Eddie Alvarez and then defending it last October by beating Jeremy Stephens.

Given their no-nonsense personas and fighting styles, fans are expecting a war when Diaz and Perry step into the cage.

When does the MVP MMA 1 fight card start?

The MVP MMA 1 lineup consists of 11 fights. Prelims start at 6 p.m. ET and the main card at 9 p.m. ET.
