Toumani Camara completed all 82 regular season games for the Portland Trail Blazers and finished fourth in the NBA in total minutes played during the 2025-26 season.
Despite his durability and increased role, Camara described his season as “up and down,” while also acknowledging some of the progress he made throughout the year.
One NBA scout told Joe Freeman of The Oregonian that Camara remains an important long-term piece for Portland because of his defense, rebounding, and basketball IQ.
“I think he’s a solid player and a piece that you keep for the future and just keep developing him,” the scout said.
The scout also praised Camara’s ability to stay within his role and impact games without forcing offense.
“But he keeps getting better with his shooting and he defends. His IQ and rebounding are good; he’s a good offensive and defensive rebounder for his position and he’s a smart player who plays within himself, doesn’t try to do stuff he doesn’t do.”
The evaluator added that Camara could become even more valuable if Portland improves the overall talent around him.
“This is a piece you keep and grow with. He would be great if you put better players around him.”
