The Oregon Ducks have their quarterback of the future, and that quarterback is starting to make a name for himself.
5-star passer Will Mencl, the No. 1 QB in the 2027 class, per Rivals, showed out this weekend on a big stage, earning the QB MVP award at ‘Flight School,’ the prestigious camp hosted by Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

The camp is designed to highlight the top wide receiver prospects in the nation, but top passers are also invited to deliver the ball to the playmakers. After a three-day camp in Atlanta, Georgia, Mencl was named the top QB of the group.
Mencl committed to Oregon on April 22, becoming one of the highest-rated QBs to ever commit to the Ducks. He is rated as the No. 13 overall player in the 2027 class, according to On3, and has been pivotal in Oregon’s ability to bring in high-end talent alongside him in the class.
