Colorado football is making a serious run at one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2027 class. Four-star target Khalil Taylor was back in Boulder over the weekend, and the Buffaloes appear to be pushing to make a strong impression before the race gets tighter.
Taylor, a 5-foot-11 receiver from Pine-Richland High in Gibsonia, Pa., already visited Colorado in March, but this trip looks especially important. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 13 receiver in the 2027 class, and Colorado is trying to build momentum with him while the staff continues to reshape the roster and future recruiting board.

Colorado is getting a real chance
This visit matters because Taylor is the kind of explosive receiver Colorado wants in Brennan Marion’s new Go-Go offense, where play-action and isolated matchups will create big numbers for a player with track speed. Marion has helped wideouts produce before, including at UNLV, where Ricky White became a 1,000-yard receiver.
Taylor also has growing competition. Penn State once looked like the likely destination, but his recruitment has shifted, and Nebraska has made a strong push in recent days. Alabama and Georgia are also involved, which means Colorado will have to keep pressing.
Colorado’s 2027 class only has three commitments, but landing Taylor would change that conversation in a hurry. For Deion Sanders and his staff, this is the type of recruit that can swing the perception of the class and give the program another high-end playmaker to sell to future recruits.
