Pedro Martinez joked about being slightly younger than Sergio Scariolo while also making it clear that the two coaches share a strong friendship and mutual respect.
“First of all, I’m younger than him,” Martinez said with a laugh. “It’s only three months but I want to say this very clear.”
The Valencia Basket coach also pushed back against the perception that he frequently has conflicts with other coaches around the league.
“I have a great relationship with him, we’re friends,” Martinez said about the Real Madrid Baloncesto head coach.
“Some people think I am a conflictive coach with other coaches, but that’s not true,” he added.
