The Las Vegas Raiders signed linebacker Cameron McGrone as a free agent recently.
Let’s take a closer look at McGrone:
Size:
6-1, 236 pounds.
NFL experience:
He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fifth round in 2021. He spent that season on the injured reserve. He spent most of the 2022 season on the Patriots’ practice squad before the Indianapolis Colts signed him to the 53-man roster in December. He was with the Colts’ program until he was cut last September. He was signed by Cleveland last November, but suffered an Achilles injury in his first game with the Browns. McGrone has appeared in 27 career games with no starts.

College:
He went to Michigan and played in 17 career games.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
McGrone, who turns 26 next month, is probably a longshot to make the roster, but he could stick around the program on the practice squad. He is a depth piece who likely best fits as a special teamer.
