Nikola Milutinov spoke to the media after the EuroLeague semifinal against Fenerbahce, emphasizing that the team’s focus remains on the bigger goal ahead.
Olympiacos won against Fenerbahce in OAKA (home of their biggest rivals – Panathinaikos), but for Nikola Milutinov place where the match was playing wasn’t impacting their motivation, only hunger for the win was important.
“I don’t really care whether I got the victory in OAKA or in Serbia. I just have the desire to finally win this trophy because I’ve been playing for so many years, especially in the EuroLeague, and I really want it. Not just me — all the players want to win, we’re all hungry. We showed it today, and I hope we will show again on Sunday”, said Milutinov after the Semifinal win against Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague Final Four.
Amazing win for the Greek club was even more spectacular with the crowd in the Arena and Nikola emphasized fan’s role in Olympiacos success.
“The crowd recognized our great energy at the start of the game. And when we went on a ten, 12–0 run, they got even louder and kept giving us more and more support. And even during the moments when Fenerbahce was coming back, they were there to support us and lift us up. They are also part of this win today. But we haven’t won anything yet — this is just one step closer to our goal”, said Nikola.
