Mason Bandhauer was a three-star recruit in Iowa State‘s Class of 2026 under head coach Matt Campbell. Bandhauer originally signed with Iowa State in the early signing period, prior to Penn State hiring Campbell to be its next head coach. That led to Bandhauer to back out of his Iowa State signing and signing with Penn State to follow Campbell to Happy Valley.
Career Stats
Mason Bandhauer has yet to make his college debut but he was a part of an offensive line in high school that helped contribute to a rushing average of 232 yards per game.

As a true freshman, there are few expectations for Mason Bandhauer to see any significant playing time on the Penn State offensive line as the 2026 season begins. Projected to play offensive tackle, Bandhauer will play a deep reserve role in 2026 behind more established veterans like Anthony Donkoh and Garrett Sexton and redshirt freshmen Malachi Goodman and Owens Aliciene.
