Tennessee will play at Virginia Tech in the fourth annual SEC/ACC Women’s Basketball Challenge.

The matchup is scheduled for Dec. 3 in Blacksburg, Virginia during the second day of the event. The game will be one of 10 contests held on the second day of the event. Six games will be played on Dec. 2. Tipoff times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.

The SEC is 30-16 all time in the SEC/ACC Challenge during the first three years of the event. In 2023, the two conferences split 14 games.

The Lady Vols are 2-1 all time in the SEC/ACC Challenge, inducing a 2-0 record under head coach Kim Caldwell. Tennessee defeated Stanford, 65-62, last season at Maples Pavilion in Palo Alto, California. The Lady Vols also defeated Florida State on Dec. 4, 2024, at Food City Center. Tennessee lost to Notre Dame, 74-69, on Nov. 29, 2023, in the inaugural year of the event.

2026 will mark the 13th meeting between Tennessee and the Hokies. The Lady Vols are 8-4 in the series. Virginia Tech has won the last two meetings in the series.
