What to watch for
The Mystics head back to the nation’s capital after getting their butts handed to them last Saturday (and with Head Coach Sydney Johnson also getting ejected along the way). Now, they host the WNBA’s darling team, the Fever, led by their point guard, Caitlin Clark.
Indiana, like Washington, is teetering on that .500 record mark, though Washington is one game below .500 for now. The Mystics can get back to .500 if they beat the Fever. They already did earlier this season on the road. This time, Clark and the Fever will be facing the Mystics at their primary home venue at CareFirst Arena. That’s a notable departure from the last two seasons when every Mystics home game featuring the Fever was held at a larger venue, whether Capital One Arena or CFG Bank Arena.
Washington will be the underdog tomorrow night regardless. But they can still make things interesting and perhaps pull off another upset.
