Blue Devils Pick Up 2027 Verbal From Junior National Qualifier Aiden Yeo

NEW COMMIT: Duke University has secured a new verbal commitment for Fall 2027 from Aiden Yeo of Pleasanton, Calif. Yeo is a Junior National qualifier who excels in butterfly and IM.

He will join Grant O’Mara in Durham as a member of the Blue Devils’ Class of 2031.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I am beyond excited and honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic journey at Duke University. First and foremost, thank you to God for guiding me throughout this journey. Thank you to my parents, family, friends, and teammates for all of your support. A huge thank you to Coach Steve, Coach Joe, and Coach Stephanie for always pushing me to be the best version of myself. Finally, thank you to Coach Brian and Coach Kate for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of such a prestigious and amazing program. GO BLUE DEVILS!!!”

Yeo does his club swimming with Pleasanton Seahawks and earned silver in the 200m fly and bronze in the 50m fly and 100m fly at Far Western Championships in April. He produced a trio of top-6 finishes at Roseville Sectionals in February after placing 13th in the 200 fly at Juniors West in December.

Last summer, he finaled in five events at Super League Champs and competed at Junior Nationals.

His best times include:

  • 200 IM – 1:48.90
  • 400 IM – 3:54.25
  • 100 fly – 48.57
  • 200 fly – 1:47.15
  • 200 free – 1:40.53

A rising senior at Foothill High School, Yeo was part of the bronze-medal 4×100 free relay team at the 2025 CIF State Championships. He finished eighth in both the 100 fly and 200 IM at the CIF North Coast Section Championship in 2025 as a sophomore.

The Blue Devils finished 14th at the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships.
