Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark continue to headline the 2026 WNBA season. The third-year stars spent this past week trading impressive performances that underscored their importance to the league.
Three days after Clark rewrote the record book in the Indiana Fever’s overtime win against the Chicago Sky, Reese etched her name next to the all-time greatest rebounders during the Atlanta Dream’s victory against the Toronto Tempo.

Reese picked apart the Tempo’s interior defense on Sunday afternoon at the Coca-Cola Coliseum, pulling down 17 rebounds and scoring 15 points in a 102-77 blowout win. She grabbed 11 offensive rebounds, placing her in the history books.
Reese tied for the most games in league history with 10 or more offensive boards, and the second-most in a single game.
Atlanta took full advantage of those extra possessions as it flipped the game after trailing by 12 points in the first quarter. Those second chances allowed Reese’s teammates to find their shooting rhythm and bury Toronto.

Allisha Gray capitalized on the spacing by scoring 26 points and hitting 5 3-pointers. Rhyne Howard added 24 points to keep the offense rolling.
Reese showed exactly why Atlanta traded two first-round picks to acquire her from Chicago in early April. She entered Sunday leading the league with 11.9 rebounds per game and continued that display of dominance to help Atlanta clinch its ninth win of the season.
The two-time All-Star is currently averaging 14.6 points and a league-leading 11.9 rebounds per game and already has nine double-doubles on the year, bringing her career total to 59.

Meanwhile, Clark set her own historic milestone just three days earlier.
The Indiana phenom led her team to a 114-106 overtime victory against the Sky on Thursday night.
She finished with 32 points and 10 assists to pull off a statistical feat no other WNBA player has accomplished. With the stat line, she became the first WNBA player with three career games of at least 30 points and 10 assists.
In comparison to Reese, the Fever guard is averaging 20.3 points and ranks second in assists with 7.8 assists per contest.

Fans will get to see both stars share the court later this Thursday night as the Dream travels to Indianapolis to take on the Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
