Texas A&M’s No. 1-ranked recruiting class took another step towards securing the top spot after landing five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, ranked as the No. 1 LB and No. 2-ranked prospect in Florida, and could result in the Aggies landing several priority prospects, including five-star Florida-based wide receiver Eric McFarland, who will announce his commitment on June 28.
After dominating the Georgia recruiting landscape in the 2026 signing class, Florida continues to be the bedrock for elite talent at nearly every position, and third-year coach Mike Elko isn’t slowing down after landing four top 100-ranked Florida prospects, including five-star OT Mark Matthews, five-star edge Zyron Forstall, Henderson, and four-star defensive lineman Frederick Ards III.

Covering all of his bases, Mike Elko and his newly formed staff, especially assistant head coach/running backs coach Trooper Taylor and offensive line coach Adam Cushing, have landed nearly every priority prospect on their board, and before landing Mark Matthews, the Aggies secured key commitments from five-star IOL Kennedy Brown and four-star tackles DeMarrion Johnson and Kaeden Kent.
Along the defensive line, Zyron Forstall and four-star edge Kaden McCarty, paired with defensive tackles Myels Smith and Elijah Patmon, make up a future rotation with high NFL upside, while the future secondary is all but set after blue-chip safeties Kamarui Dorsey and JayQuan Snell shut down their recruitments.
After Kaden Henderon’s massive commitment announcement, Texas A&M now leads the country once again with a whopping 10 top 100-ranked commits in the 2027 cycle, per Rivals.
