Cal Lands 2027 Verbal From Two-Time CIF State Champion Khanh Seaton
NEW COMMIT: Castro Valley, Calif. native Khanh Seaton has opted to remain in-state for her college career, verbally committing to the University of California, Berkeley, for Fall 2027. Seaton was originally committed to the University of Michigan.
She will join Alba Arnell as a member of the Golden Bears’ Class of 2031.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“Staying closer to home! After a lot of time and thought, I’m extremely grateful to announce my commitment to swim and study at the University of California, Berkeley! I’m so thankful for my family, friends, coaches, and teammates for supporting me throughout this journey. I would also like to thank the coaches at UC Berkeley for this opportunity. So excited for this next chapter!! Go Bears”
A Junior National qualifier who excels in sprints, Seaton does her club swimming with Golden State Aquatic. She won the 50 free at Far Westerns in April and took sixth in that event at Juniors West in December before going on to secure bronze in both the 50/100 free at Walnut Speedo Sectionals.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 22.02
- 100 free – 48.22
- 50 back – 25.15
- 100 back – 55.32
- 50 fly – 24.47
- 100 fly – 54.80
- 200 IM – 2:04.00
A rising senior at Castro Valley High School, Seaton won the 50 free and 100 free at the 2026 CIF State Championships. She also won both those events at the CIF North Coast Section Championships.
Cal placed third at the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, the school’s second year in the ACC, and took fourth at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
