Several players stepped up for the Atlanta Dream in their 97-84 win over the Toronto Tempo on Monday. Rhyne Howard led the way for Atlanta with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Allisha Gray added 18 points and five steals.
Angel Reese also had a big game with 11 points, nine rebounds and one block, while Jordin Canada tallied 11 points and 13 rebounds.

One of the most impressive performances in the game, however, came from Dream rookie Madina Okot. The 13th overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft had a career game against the Tempo, recording 18 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

The Dream absolutely loved Okot’s remarkable showing, so much so that they named her their Player of the Game.
“Go off, Rook,” the Dream wrote, along with a short clip of Okot’s highlight play during the game. “With her career-high scoring tonight, Madina Okot is YOUR @albertapp Player of the Game!”

Reese, for her part, was also delighted to see the 21-year-old center thrive and find her footing with the Dream. She shared Atlanta’s post on her Instagram story and showered the rookie with some love.
“so proud of you,” Reese wrote, along with an emoji of a face holding back tears.
Okot has now played in 16 games for the Dream, averaging 4.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in roughly nine minutes per outing. While she has a limited role for Atlanta, she’s clearly learning and adjusting well to the WNBA level of play.
