Las Vegas Valkyries’ veteran Tiffany Hayes appears to be disappointed in the league’s decision to suspend Alyssa Thomas.
During the game between the Indiana Fever and the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday, Thomas and Caitlin Clark went for the loose ball. Thomas made contact with Cailtin’s throat, which ultimately resulted in a Flagrant Foul 2, a one-game suspension and a $1,000 fine.

This incident received mixed reactions from the basketball world, but the apparent statement of Valkyries guard Hayes stood out.
A day after the incident, the former second-round draft pick from the 2012 draft posted her reaction on Threads.
“Did you know organizations often interpret rules differently when millions of dollars are at stake?” wrote Hayes.
Though no player or organization names were mentioned, many believe that Hayes was referring the WNBA‘s decision to suspend Thomas over her actions against Clark. The fans were quick to point it out.

“Considering the day’s events, I would say that is GLARINGLY obvious,” a fan wrote.

Hayes is known to be one of the most outspoken players in the WNBA, and she’s not afraid to share her thoughts on any given platform.

In fact, the 36-year-old, who’s on her 14th WNBA season, also made comments about Clark and the Fever on May 22.
Hayes called out the officials for not calling fouls on Clark when she gets too physical on the defensive end, following their 90-82 loss to Indiana.
