Arguable the most impressive finish of all went to headliner Rafael Fiziev (14-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC), who largely styled on Manuel Torres (17-4 MMA, 5-2 UFC) en route to a second-round TKO that put him back into relevance in the lightweight division.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $162,000.
Debuting fighters went 2-2 at the event.
Fiziev, Asu Almabayev, Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev and Daniil Donchenko earned $100,000 UFC Fight Night 280 fight-night bonuses. Five fighters earned $25,000 finish bonuses.
UFC did not announce attendance of live gate figures for UFC Fight Night 280.
Betting favorites went 8-3 on the card. Two fights had even odds.
Betting favorites improved to remained 8-9 in UFC headliners this year. Fiziev vs. Torres was the fourth main events of 2026 with even odds.

Asu Almabayev def. Charles Johnson
Asu Almabayev’s (24-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC) seven victories since 2023 in UFC flyweight competition are tied for second-most in divisional history behind Joshua Van (10).
Almabayev earned the fourth Suloev Stretch submission victory in UFC history. Kenny Robertson, Aljamain Sterling and Zabit Magomedsharipov also accomplished the feat.
Charles Johnson (19-9 MMA, 8-6 UFC) suffered the first submission loss of his career.
Ikram Aliskerov def. Brunno Ferreira
Brunno Ferreira (15-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Abus Magomedov def. Michal Oleksiejczuk
Michal Oleksiejczuk (22-10 MMA, 10-8 UFC) fell to 6-5 since he dropped to the UFC middleweight division in August 2022.
Oleksiejczuk has suffered all six of his UFC stoppage losses by submission.
Farman Hasanov def. Eric Nolan
Farman Hasanov’s (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) nine takedowns landed in Round 1 marked the single-round record for a UFC welterweight bout.

Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev def. Julius Walker

Yakhyaev’s eight-second knockout was tied for the the second-fastest in UFC light heavyweight history. Ryan Jimmo holds the record with a seven-second finish at UFC 149.
Julius Walker (7-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) fell to 1-3 in his past four fights after starting his career 6-0.
Walker has suffered both of his career stoppage losses by knockout.
Nursulton Ruziboev def. Andrey Pulyaev
Nursulton Ruziboev (37-9-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) has earned 34 of his 37 career victories by stoppage. He’s finished 26 of those wins in Round 1.
