After completing their blockbuster trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis, the Heat are expected to shift their attention toward adding experienced backcourt depth in free agency.
Miami is reportedly targeting veteran guards Mike Conley and Tim Hardaway Jr. as potential additions when free agency begins on June 30, with the team looking to strengthen its guard rotation around its revamped core.
Conley spent the past three and a half seasons with the Timberwolves and brings extensive playoff experience as a steady floor general.
Last season, the veteran point guard averaged 4.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 18.4 minutes per game.
Hardaway is also expected to receive interest after a productive season with the Nuggets.
Serving as one of Denver’s top reserves, he averaged 13.5 points while shooting 40.7 percent from three-point range on 6.9 attempts per game, finishing third in the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year voting.
