Tyson Fury’s next opponent will carry very unique combat sports experience into their bout.
Apart from the 50-plus professional boxing fights, Mariusz Wach has kickboxing and MMA experience. But his MMA fight was not what you’d expect.

The Polish fighter last competed in April and fought three influencers under MMA rules – at the same time. That’s right: The 46-year-old Wach put on the gloves and delivered a beating on three opponents at Prime Show MMA 16 in Poland.

Wach and Fury meet July 24 at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand. The two will compete for the inaugural WBC humanitarian title. The news was announced on Tuesday through a press release from Queensberry.
The charity event, with the profits generated from ticket sales going to local charities across Pattaya. The release didn’t specify if the full gate or just a percentage will go toward the charities. The charities weren’t specified.

The fight is happening one day before Anthony Joshua meets Albanian Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As long as everything goes accordingly, Fury and Joshua are expected to square off in a blockbuster bout toward the end of the year.
