The Aces made a compelling campaign for the Cup, but fell just short to the Liberty, 93-85. Four-time league MVP and franchise star A’ja Wilson was unable to help her squad out, as she was sidelined due to a right leg injury. It’s unclear if Wilson will return to the court as the Aces host in Sin City this weekend after she also sat out Friday’s overtime win over the Sky.
Meanwhile, the Fever will be hitting the road after a three-game stint at home, in which they went one-and-one with the Mercury, and then defeated the Sparks. Despite star point guard Caitlin Clark sitting out due to a back injury, Indiana stayed strong and routed Los Angeles 111-87.
