Former college basketball player Kerr Kriisa could be in serious legal trouble after he was reportedly arrested by the FBI.
It was Jack Pilgrim of Kentucky Sports Radio who first reported that the former college point guard for Arizona, West Virginia, Kentucky and Cincinnati was arrested this week. He has been playing pro basketball in his native Estonia and is reportedly being extradited to West Virginia.

KSR reported that the arrested was in connection to a multi-million dollar fraud scheme. He is due in court next week.
A long run in college
Kriisa began playing pro basketball in Europe when he was 15 and committed to the University of Arizona in 2020. He played three seasons for the Wildcats, starting 70 of 76 games and averaged nearly 10 points per game over his final two years before transferring to West Virginia.
As a member of the Mountaineers, Kriisa appeared in 23 games during the 2023-24 season. He averaged 11 points per game in what would wind up being his career-high across six years of college hoops.

Kriisa played nine games for the Kentucky Wildcats during the 2024-25 season, and finally 19 games for the Cincinnati Bearcats during the 2025-26 season.
In total, Kriisa appeared in 127 games, starting 106, and averaged 8.8 points per game over his career.
After finishing his college career a few months ago, he returned to Estonia and joined Tartu Ulikool.

Kriisa was set to play for La Familia with other Kentucky alum in the upcoming The Basketball Tournament (TNT). But La Familia released a statement a short while ago announcing that he will no longer be a part of the team.

“We’re aware of the allegations regarding Kerr Kriisa. Kerr will not be competing with La Familia during the TBT Tournament. We will have no further comment,” the group shared on X.
