The LSU Tigers are adding former McNeese student manager Amir “Aura” Khan to Will Wade’s staff, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. After becoming one of college basketball’s most recognizable personalities, the fan favorite is heading to Baton Rouge.
Khan first gained attention during McNeese’s 2023 season before following Wade to NC State. He returned to McNeese in 2025, where his popularity skyrocketed during the Cowboys’ run to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. His energetic pregame entrances and contagious personality turned him into a national fan favorite, making him one of the most recognizable student managers in college basketball.

Now, Khan is once again reuniting with Wade, this time at LSU. While he won’t be making an impact on the court, his arrival adds another familiar face to provide some excitement for a new era of Tigers basketball.
