What is your boldest Ohio State prediction that you think will happen?

Throughout the year, we will be asking and answering questions about various Ohio State teams, the players, and anything else on our collective minds of varying degrees of importance. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you can tweet us @LandGrant33, or if you need more than 280 characters, send an email HERE.

As preseason camp begins this week, Land-Grant Holy Land is diving into its final theme every week of the off-season. This week is all about making predictions that may or may not be reasonable, in fact, some might say they are bold. You can catch up on all of the Theme Week content here and all of our ”Bold Predictions” articles here.

Friends, Buckeyes, countrymen, we are less than one month from the start of Ohio State’s preseason practice, meaning that it’s time to start locking in. With just weeks remaining until Ryan Day gets his crew back on the field for fall camp, we need to be thinking about what this season could possibly bring. So, in this week’s fan survey, we want to know what bold prediction you think is actually possible this season.

Of course, you could make a bold prediction and say that Ohio State is going to go undefeated and win every game 100-0, but even the most ardent of Buckeye fans know that’s just barely on this side of impossible.

So, take a look at the options below, then vote in the survey at the bottom of the article. Over the weekend or early next week, we will share the results, so make sure to check back in with us in a few days. And if you want to explain your rationale or add another option, head down to the comments and break it down.

Question: What is the boldest prediction for Ohio State’s season that you think will actually happen?

When I was pulling together some options for this survey, I wanted to have a combination of things at varying degrees of possibility. So, if you want one that seems relatively safe (while still remaining in the category of “bold”), you have options. However, if you are feeling spicy and want to go for something with longer odds, you have those types of choices as well.

While I don’t want to influence the voting ahead of time, if I had to pick one, I think I would go with Kenyatta Jackson racking up a dozen sacks. He came back for a final year in Columbus for a reason, and I don’t think he’s going to go down without a bit of a fight. I don’t think that he is necessarily going to have a Chase Young-level campaign, but in the course of a season that hopefully includes a Big Ten Championship Game and an extended run in the College Football Playoff, I think hitting 12 sacks is certainly feasible for the defense’s new No. 2.

Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Ohio State fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
