Clemson football’s 2027 recruiting class picked up another major addition Saturday when four-star defensive tackle Seth Tillman announced his commitment to the Tigers.

The Rock Hill (S.C.) South Pointe standout chose Clemson over fellow finalists Georgia, Michigan and South Carolina, giving Dabo Swinney another significant recruiting win in the 2027 cycle.

Tillman has been on Clemson’s radar for quite some time. He earned an offer after working out at Swinney’s summer camp last year, an event he had attended for years while growing up. The Tigers continued to build that relationship throughout his recruitment, hosting him for the Elite Retreat in March, the season opener against LSU last fall and his official visit in June before ultimately securing his commitment.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound prospect is coming off an outstanding junior season that helped South Pointe capture the South Carolina Class 4A state championship. He finished the year with 61 tackles, 27 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks while establishing himself as one of the nation’s top defensive tackles.

Tillman becomes Clemson’s 25th commitment in the 2027 class and the 18th player to pledge since the middle of May. He also joins three-star in-state prospect Jaden Wuerth as the Tigers’ second defensive tackle commitment in the class.
