Florida State brought one of the most talented receivers in all of college football to the ACC Kickoff this week in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Duce Robinson took pro football’s evaluation seriously and came back to Tallahassee for the 2026 season to build a football legacy adorned with all that glitters is garnet and gold.

A highly-decorated pass catcher, both nationally and in the ACC, Robinson is a dynamic possession receiver who puts pressure on defenses. Last season, Robinson caught 56 passes for over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns, earning first-team All-ACC honors.
At 6-foot-6, 222 pounds, he averaged 19.3 yards per catch, which ranked him in the top ten nationally in that category.
“A couple of things that they had said, they would love to see me improve my game upon, they would love to see that I can play a couple more positions, play all over the field,” Robinson said. “Which is one of the great things about Coach Norvell and Coach Harris’ offense, is they put their play-makers in positions to win, no matter where it might be.

“Then to go along with that, just being able to run a little bit more of the route tree.” said Robinson. “Last year I was running a lot of the same routes, so just being able to show that I can be a complete receiver in myself, be successful at the next level, that’s one of the main reasons I came back.”
Robinson is known as the ultimate team player, who believes the game of football and the team is bigger than any one player. He is a coach’s dream and kind of guy you want in your locker room.
Robinson was asked about how he has handled change throughout his college career, specifically the revolving door of quarterbacks the Seminoles have trotted out onto the field the last four seasons. His response was simply, “I think human life is about change, right?”
“We have to adjust. We have to adapt,” Robinson said. “This is going to be my fourth quarterback in four years. Ashton [Daniels] is among the best. Ashton has been absolutely fantastic with everything he’s done since the very first day he’s shown up.”

Make no mistake, this is not your daddy’s Florida State football program. But, if Robinson and Daniels can build chemistry that translates into big plays for big wins, that would be a gift from the football gods.
Add the Tom Herman factor into the equation, with his ability to develop quarterbacks, and that would be the catalyst that could change the Seminoles’ football lives for the better.
