Colby Covington and Belal Muhammad will finally get hands on each other, but it won’t happen in an MMA fight.
After years of name-calling on social media and in interviews, the stars have aligned for a grudge match between former interim UFC champion Covington and former UFC welterweight titleholder Muhammad. They will meet on the wrestling mats in the co-main event of RAF 12, which takes place Aug. 22 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.

RAF officials announced the matchup between Covington and Muhammad following their wins Saturday at RAF 11. Covington’s RAF cruiserweight crossover championship will be on the line in the match.
Covington scored a major upset in the RAF 11 main event when he beat UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan, who tasted defeat for the first time under the RAF banner. In the co-headliner of the card, Muhammad beat Ben Askren in what was Askren’s final match following a near-death experience and double lung transplant.
The heat between Covington and Muhammad spilled into the post-match press conference, where they were separated by security after nearly coming to blows.
