For the first time in more than four years, a major UFC event will take place in the Phoenix area when Noche UFC comes to Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale on Sept. 12.
Noche UFC is the mixed martial arts company’s night of fights that pays homage to Mexican Independence Day (Sept. 16) and features former champions, rising prospects and fan favorites of Mexican and Latino descent. It’s been held in Las Vegas in years past.

Former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno, who, at UFC 263 on June 21, 2021, defeated then-champion Deiveson Figueiredo by submission at Desert Diamond Arena to become the first Mexican-born UFC champion in the organization’s history, is scheduled to fight in this year’s Noche UFC. He faces The Ultimate Fighter Season 33 winner Joseph Morales.
Others scheduled to compete at Noche UFC in Glendale include former UFC women’s flyweight champion and current No. 3 ranked contender Alexa Grasso, Phoenix heavyweight contender Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Kelvin Gastelum of Yuma, who has had one of his fights inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
Tickets for Noche UFC will go on sale Friday, July 31, at 10 a.m. MST (1 p.m. Eastern) and are available at ticketmaster.com. Ticket sales are limited to eight per person.
UFC Fight Club members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets on Wednesday, July 29, at 10 a.m. A special Internet ticket pre-sale will be available to UFC newsletter subscribers on Thursday, July 30, at 10 a.m.

Noche UFC will be the first of seven high-profile live events in Arizona over the next three years through TKO’s partnership with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance. TKO is UFC’s parent company.
The prelims are scheduled for a 10 a.m. start, followed by the main card at 2 p.m.
