The Miami Dolphins will hit the fields in Miami Gardens tomorrow for the first practice of the team’s training camp. However, on Tuesday, the organization hosted eight free agents, including former first round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2020 NFL Draft — running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Edwards-Helaire spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Chiefs before playing two games for the New Orleans Saints in 2024. He rejoined Kansas City for two games during the 2025 NFL season. He has amassed 1,904 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in 52 games during his 6-year career.

The full list of tryouts the Dolphins conducted today are as follows:

  • Jakobie Keeney-James, WR — Massachusetts

  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB — LSU

  • Ben Te Kura, OT — No College

Te Kura has never played American football at any level. He is a former Australian Rules Football player — standing 6’9″ tall and weighing 268 lb. He looks to follow in the footsteps of fellow countryman, Jordan Mailata, who has been a member of the Philadelphia Eagles since he was drafted in the 7th round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

We will continue to keep you updated on all things Miami Dolphins as the team begins training camp practices on Wednesday.
