The Miami Dolphins selected Chop Robinson in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft with visions of the former Nittany Lion wreaking havoc in opposing backfields, however through his first two NFL seasons, the 23-year old’s production has left some South Florida football fans wondering if he was the right pick for former general manager Chris Grier to make two offseasons ago.
On Wednesday, the Dolphins kicked-off their first day of training camp practice, and following the session, Robinson met with the team’s local media to discuss changes he’s made heading into the 2026 NFL season.
“I feel great. I think, in the run game, especially, I think the [added weight] is going to be able to help me set the edge. When I put the weight on, I was eating right — have a chef and everything now. So, I’m putting the right fuel in my body, and I honestly feel the best I’ve ever felt.”
When asked what his motivations were when he decided to bulk up this offseason, Robinson gave an honest answer.
“Just me watching the tape from my rookie year — last year — it’s just, I know what I’m capable of, and I know what I can do. So, I did everything I can to put myself in the best position… Everything is motivating me. I’ve moved on from [last] year and my rookie year, and I’m just focused on this year.”
