Duke has only played at Kansas once, in 1988, which was a 74-70 overtime win for the Blue Devils. However, Kansas got payback that March, winning in the national semifinals of the NCAA tournament, 66-59.
To the best of our knowledge, Kansas has never visited Duke. Nonetheless, the teams have had a solid rivalry over the years, and one that has mostly been respectful on both sides.

Duke will visit Kansas for an exhibition game in October, and Kansas will return the favor next year.
Here’s what KU coach Bill Self said about what folks out on the plains are calling the Blue Blood Classic: “I think from a fan standpoint, getting Louisville and Duke at home, I think definitely adds to the attraction of our schedule immediately.
“Those two games aren’t the biggest games on our schedule by any means, but the appearance of having them that early in the season, I think people will be pretty amped up to watch them.”
He might also have added that Kansas gets a chance to make a lot of money to add to the NIL pot, which, as Danny Hurley pointed out recently, is why buy games are less useful now than they used to be.

Louisville visits Kansas on October 21, while Duke plays there on October 25.
It’ll be interesting to see how both ACC teams do in that matchup.
By the way, if you didn’t know, former Blue Devil Christian Reeves is now a Jayhawk, so it’ll also be interesting to see how he’s doing.
