Five players scored at least 16 points in the victory. Four of those leading scorers were true freshmen, with Jordan Smith Jr. providing a game-high 22 points. America’s No. 2 recruit in the 2026 class went 7 for 8 from the free-throw line and also dished out six assists.
The calling card of the victory was the Arkansas defense, which recorded 19 steals and forced 26 turnovers.
Carleton is 5-2 all-time in exhibitions against the SEC, including two wins over Vanderbilt and Alabama. Located in Ottawa, Ontario, the Ravens are the defending Canadian national collegiate champion. Carleton went 27-9 overall and 17-5 in league play to win the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference last season and earned a berth to the 2026 U Sports Men’s Final 8 Basketball Tournament.
Arkansas will again be without Miikka Muurinen as the 7-foot forward from Finland awaits clearance from the NCAA. Jeremiah Wilkinson could also miss the game after he exited the first half vs. The Bahamas with an injury and did not return.
