Projected Michigan State starter cleared for basketball activities

This may have been just a formality at this point, but that doesn’t mean it’s still not good to hear. According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, by way of Tom Izzo himself, projected Michigan State starter Kaleb Glenn has been cleared for all basketball related activites.

Glenn was the big transfer addition to the team last year, but a torn patellar tendon last summer derailed his season and postponed his debut. The Spartans were very patient and cautious with Glenn’s recovery, and it seems like all restrictions have now been lifted and he’s ready to contribute this season.

On paper, Glenn is everything Michigan State has needed on the wing for years. He’s 6’7″, 200-pounds, and shot over 40-percent from three in his last season played at FAU, where he transferred for one season after starting his career at Louisville.

Glenn has been a bit of a mystery element for this team as we aren’t sure what to expect from him post-injury, but having him healthy adds an interesting dynamic to the roster moving forward.
