Syracuse landed their first 2027 recruit yesterday when forward Jack Donohue announced his commitment to Gerry McNamara.
The 6’7″ Donohue is originally from Albany and played at CBA-Albany up until last season when he joined The Newman School in Boston. He competed against Orange guard Ryan Moesch in the New England Prep School Athletic Conference.

The three-star recruit chose Syracuse over offers from Penn State, Florida Atlantic, FIU, LaSalle, Bryant, Hampton, Albany and Penn. He had been previously offered by McNamara at Siena.
Donohue’s strength is his outside shooting and he’s a little over a year from having open-heart surgery, so it will be worth watching how he progresses this season.
