Former NBA forward Derrick Williams will continue his international career after signing with the Seoul Samsung Thunders in South Korea, according to Sportando.
The 35-year-old spent last season with Suwon KT Sonicboom, making this his second consecutive year in the Korean league.
Williams was selected second overall in the 2011 NBA Draft, one pick behind Kyrie Irving, and played seven NBA seasons with six different franchises.
He appeared in 428 regular-season games, averaging 8.9 points and 4.0 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per contest.
Since leaving the NBA following a brief stint with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018, Williams has built an extensive overseas career, playing professionally in China, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Israel, Greece, Puerto Rico and now South Korea once again.
