The Toronto Raptors have agreed to sign guard Andre Jackson Jr. to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract, giving him the opportunity to compete for a roster spot during training camp, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Jackson, the 36th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, spent his first three NBA seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Known for his athleticism and defensive versatility, the 24-year-old struggled to earn consistent playing time because of his limited offensive production.
Last season, Jackson averaged a career-low 8.5 minutes per game while shooting 32.8% from the field, 25.0% from three-point range and 62.5% from the free-throw line.
Toronto is expected to have 13 players on guaranteed contracts once the Kawhi Leonard trade is finalized, meaning the club will still need to add at least one more player to satisfy the NBA’s regular-season roster minimum.
Jackson will now have the chance to earn one of those spots during training camp.
