The college basketball season is still a few months away as teams navigate through the offseason. For the North Carolina Tar Heels, they are finalizing their schedule for the season, the first under new head coach Michael Malone.
North Carolina already has a very tough non-conference schedule. On Thursday, they added to their non-conference schedule.

The program announced on Thursday afternoon that it would play West Virginia in Charlotte as part of the Dick Vitale Invitational. The game will take place on Friday, November 27th at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN with a tip-off time to be set at a later date.
By adding West Virginia, the Tar Heels now have 31 total games, including conference games. They have 13 non-conference games on the schedule.
UNC and West Virginia will meet for the sixth time in history, with the Mountaineers having a 5-0 advantage in the series. The last time the two teams played was on December 31, 1965.
